Transportation Task Force of the Mid - Mon Valley Region

“Opening opportunities for our Community”, by providing more effective and affordable transportation. Our work will focus on finding ways to effectively remove the transportation barriers that hinder our community.

We should be able to get to work, doctors appointments, visit friends and family, enjoy the entertainment that is offered throughout our area, have a better quality of life where we are not limited because of lack of transportation.

We should be able to move in and out of our community at any time of day or night safely and secure, and not worry if we will be stranded somewhere because there is no transportation out or in for that period of time.

With a more effective and community orientated system our community will be more appealing to others who may want to live here but won’t because of lack of transportation.

Our local businesses will flourish because people will have access to them at times when it is convient to them. Also, workers will be able to get to and from work at all shifts.

People will be able to go to church functions or any other functions, because the transportation will be running at hours where they can attend.

This transportation system will run throughout each town on a daily basis each hour Sunday through Saturday, it will connect up with existing transportation suppliers so that we are able to get to other areas effectively.

There should be no reason why we can’t get to our county seats to take care of business or to visit people in hospitals, nursing homes, family and friends, shopping, entertainment, anything available to us.

With the rising cost of gas, car insurance, car maintenance, etc. most people can not afford a decent vehicle to get around in. This transportation system will open many opportunities for many people.

Our community has been shut down for too long now is the time to open it up and move it into a new era. We want to progress and transportation is a major part of being progressive.

By working together we can accomplish so much and enrich so many lives.
